Hong Lim BIO

    Hong Lim was elected as the Member for Clayton in March 1996.

    He has been a member of many party committees over the years and has been Convenor, Parliamentary Caucus Committee for Victorian Communities.

    Hong was Opposition Parliamentary Secretary for Multicultural and Ethnic Affairs 1997-99, Opposition Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business 1999, and convenor, Parliamentary Caucus Economic Bill Committee, since 1997.

    He acted as Special Advisor to the Premier on Victoria-Asia Business Relations in the former Labor Government and was also Parliamentary Secretary, Victorian Communities. 

    Hong has been co-Convenor of the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of Burma and is Honorary Advisor to more than 20 community organisations. Hong's interests include karate, community affairs, reading and swimming.
