About Evan Thornley 

Evan Thornley is one of Australia’s most successful young business people. He was co-founder of technology company LookSmart and prior to that he worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Company. co-founder of technology company LookSmart

He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Brotherhood of St Laurence, the Chifley Research Centre and www.getup.org.au.

Evan is National Secretary of the Australian Fabian Society and is with his wife Tracey Ellery, the owner of Pluto Press Australia - a social issues book publisher.

Evan grew up in a sole parent family with his 3 sisters and completed his education at The University of Melbourne where he has degrees in Law and Commerce and was student body President. He is a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter and served as the club’s #1 ticket holder for 3 years.

Evan is married to Tracey and they live with their three children in Kew.
