About John Pandazopoulos

John Pandazopoulos was first elected to State Parliament as the Member for Dandenong in 1992. During 2002 -2006, Mr Pandazopoulos was Minister for Gaming, Tourism, assisting the Premier on Multicultural Affairs, as well as gaining the portfolio of Racing.

John previously worked as a Senior Organiser with the Finance Sector Union, and Manager at McDonalds. John served as City of Berwick Councillor (1987-1991) including as Mayor (1990-91).

He went to school in Doveton and later gained his BA at Monash University where he was also Secretary of the Monash Association of Students (1982-84).

John has two children and enjoys bushwalking and reading.

Location: Dandenong District is an outer metropolitan electorate located approximately 27 kilometres south-east of Melbourne.
Area: 35 square kilometres.
Region:    South Eastern Metropolitan Region
Suburbs: Dandenong, Doveton and Eumemmerring. Parts of the suburbs of Dandenong North, Endeavour Hills, Keysborough and Noble Park.

Features: Dandenong District includes residential areas, the Dandenong Plaza shopping complex and Churchill National Park.
